The history of Agricultural Corporation CHAMOTDEUL is the story of Lacquer Tree food culture in Korea.

In 1975
A social enterprise agricultural corporation started in Daegu, Korea's first Sap of the Lacquer Tree specialty restaurant, MAENGSAN Restaurant.
CHAMOTDEUL opened a new era of the Lacquer-tree food by developing various lacquer-tree foods such as Otgyetang(Boiled chicken soup with various oriental herbs including detoxyfied lacquer-tree), Otdak((It is usually cooked to the same recipe as Otgyetang, but Otgyetang uses younger chickens, while Otdak uses older, more mature chickens), and Otsun Bibimbab(Traditional Korean Mixed rise Bibimbab with Lacquer-tree sprout), and was launched as a specialized Lacquer-tree food company in 2005 by creating a special lacquer-tree food industrial zone in Okcheon, Chungcheongbuk-do.
After removing allergic substances from lacquer-trees (in a patented method), that cause dermatitis for human-beings. CHAMOTDEUL opened the era of popularizing Otdak(a unique Korean folk food) as an individually approved food ingredient by KFDA, and then started producing various fermented lacquer-tree foods such as Lacquer-tree Liquer, Lacquer-tree Vinegar, and Otdoenjang (Lacquer tree Soybean paste) with the tech-transfer from the Agriculture Promotion Agency to produce wider range of lacquer-tree related food ingredients.
Also, utilizing a new technology to concentulate special flavonoids from Sap of the Lacquer Trees, which is very good for human body, CHAMOTDEUL has supplied raw materials to pharmaceutical companies and oriental hospitals.
CHAMOTDEUL Co., Ltd, a social enterprise agricultural company, is researching and developing products to create a healthier world where people live together according to the teachings of our ancestors that social values are more important to create a better world.
And based on the wisdom of our traditional culture, CHAMOTDEUL is dreaming of globalizing lacquer-tree food products using bioceramics and various fermentation techniques.
